VENDORS WANTED: NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2019 National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. This year's event will be held at St. Thomas' Church & Community Center located at 1108 Providence Road on August 6th, from 6-9 pm. This will be an outdoor community festival with the police and fire departments, military services, live music, children's activities, local vendors, community action stations, food, prizes, and much more! For individuals selling merchandise, there will be a $20 fee for each vendor space. There is no fee for individuals or organizations who are considered nonprofit. All proceeds go towards supporting the cost of this event. Last year's event saw more that 500 people pass through our festival, and we hope to make this years event bigger and better with your support. If you are interested in reserving a space, please contact Jill Dumser, at [email protected] or in the office at 410-821-5489.
We live in a culture of comparison, FOMO (fear of missing out) and “keeping up” via social media. You can’t miss out if you stay present in your OWN life with the REAL people and responsibilities and opportunities God gives you.
Join us for two weeks of theatre fun at St. Thomas' Community Center! Guided by Third Wall Productions award winning staff, you will learn how to audition, receive daily vocal training, guidance in character development, learn choreography, and makeup skills. You will also experience the technical side where you can see the magic behind the lighting and sound design, set building and special effects. Each day also includes games, a snack and some down time. For more information, or to register, visit thirdwall.org, or call 443-838-4064.
Happiness is nice- but based on circumstances around us- much of which we can’t control. Joy is based on knowing we belong to Christ and He loves us and provides for us no matter what the circumstances look like.
It's that time a year again, when we begin to plan National Night Out (NNO). NNO is an outdoor community festival that promotes police and community partnerships. February is the month that St. Thomas' is assigned to collect food for ACTC (Assistance Center of Towson Churches). Instead of providing food from their entire food list, they would like us to focus on the following specific foods: Cereal, Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly, Tuna, Pasta Meals, Spaghetti Sauce and Dry Pasta (spaghetti and other shapes). Lots of choices this year! Please bring your donations to church during the month of February and place them in the marked boxes in the Narthex (lobby) closet. No commercial sizes, please. Thank you for your generous donations to feeding the hungry in Towson!
